Douala, Cameroon – ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP), a pan-African developer and operator of integrated industrial zones backed by leading institutional investors including the Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA) (the impact investment arm of Afreximbank), the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), Equitane, and Vision Invest, is pleased to welcome Cameroon’s Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale (CNPS) as a shareholder in two developments within the Port Industrial Activity Zone of Dibamba, following the signing of Share Purchase Agreements (SPAs) between both parties.

Spanning 517 hectares, the Port Industrial Activity Zone of Dibamba will host the Dibamba Douala Port Logistics Platform (DDLP) and the Dibamba Douala Port Industrial Platform (DDIP), two strategic initiatives set to play a key role in Cameroon’s economic and industrial growth. Together, they are expected to generate around 50,000 direct and indirect jobs, while providing serviced plots, reliable infrastructure, and streamlined support for investors.
• Dibamba Douala Port Logistics Platform (DDLP) is a multimodal logistics zone developed with the Port Authority of Douala (PAD). Implemented in phases, DDLP will introduce for the first time in Cameroon barge transport between the Port of Douala and Dibamba. This will help decongest port traffic, speed up cargo flows to Chad and the Central African Republic, and generate several thousand jobs in logistics and services.
• Dibamba Douala Port Industrial Platform (DDIP) is an industrial zone strategically located on the Douala–Yaoundé highway. Designed to host industries such as agro-processing, wood, minerals, pharmaceuticals, and textiles, DDIP will serve as a catalyst for local transformation and export-oriented growth.
This signature follows the groundbreaking of the Port Industrial Activity Zone of Dibamba in Missole 1 held in July 2025 under the patronage of His Excellency, Chief Dr. Joseph Dion Ngute, Prime Minister and Head of Government. During this ceremony, PAD and ARISE IIP confirmed the start of construction on a platform designed to decongest the Port of Douala, accelerate supply chains, and strengthen Cameroon’s role as a regional hub.
With CNPS now joining as a shareholder, local participation in the Port Industrial Activity Zone of Dibamba is further reinforced, ensuring that Cameroonians are at the heart of these industrial transformations.
Together, DDLP and DDIP will:
• Create tens of thousands of direct and indirect jobs across logistics, industry, and textiles.
• Strengthen trade competitiveness and reduce congestion at the Port of Douala.
• Establish new industrial value chains in cotton, agro-processing, and manufacturing.
• Contribute significantly to fiscal revenues and long-term financial returns for Cameroon.
“The onboarding of CNPS is a milestone that reinforces our partnership with the people of Cameroon. These projects are not only about infrastructure and factories, but about building resilient, inclusive ecosystems that generate jobs and opportunities for future generations,” said Gagan Gupta, Founder & CEO of ARISE IIP.
Noël Alain Olivier Mekulu Mvondo Akame, Director General of CNPS, underlined: “By investing in these strategic projects, CNPS is ensuring that Cameroonians are at the heart of the country’s industrial development. This partnership reflects our mission to protect social security while supporting initiatives that strengthen the national economy.”
Cyrus Ngo’o, Director General of the Port Authority of Douala (PAD), added: “The Port Industrial Activity Zone of Dibamba is a natural extension of our mission to modernize and expand the Port of Douala’s capacity. By introducing multimodal solutions such as barge transport and hosting new industries, we are building a more competitive and resilient logistics hub for Cameroon and the subregion. Our partnership with ARISE IIP and CNPS demonstrates our shared commitment to unlocking long-term growth for the national economy.”
