Following the MoU signed in July 2021, a joint venture was created on March 16, 2022, under the name Laham Tchad SAS between the Republic of Chad and Arise IIP. The primary goal is to provide local and international investors with access to infrastructure and a business-friendly environment.
There are three industrial zones in Chad.
- La zone industrielle du Logone (ZILOG): Logone industrial zone is located in Chad’s second-largest city, Moundou. The city is also known as the country’s economic capital. ZILOG is a PPP between the Republic of Chad and Arise IIP. It is the country’s first integrated industrial platform that will offer investors a sustainable solution for local transformation. The objective of developing ZILOG is to leverage Chad’s industrialization potential and transform the country into a regional manufacturing powerhouse with abundant resources.
- La Zone Industrielle de Sarh (ZISARH): This is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the Republic of Chad and Arise IIP, covering 485 hectares. The objective of creating ZISARH is to promote the growth of the country’s industrial and agricultural sectors.
- Ndjamena industrial zone (ZINDJAM): N’Djamena Industrial Zone is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the Republic of Chad and Arise IIP, and will be located in the capital, N’Djamena. The zone will include 280 hectares of purchasing stock, a quarantine area, and a cattle, sheep, and goat fattening area, as well as 31 hectares for a gas-fired power plant.
